DESCRIPTION
AMILAX is a combination drug consisting Frusemide and Amiloride as its active ingredient. Frusemide belongs to a class of loop diuretic (water pill) that prevents your body from absorbing too much salt. Amiloride belongs to a class of potassium-sparing diuretic, which works by making the kidneys eliminate sodium (salt) and water from the body while retaining potassium. In combination, they are used in the management of fluid retention where potassium conservation is desirable.
