Nasivion Baby Nasal Drops 10ml belongs to the class of medications called ‘alpha1A adrenoceptor agonists’ and used in the treatment of nasal congestion. Besides this Nasivion Baby Nasal Drops 10ml also useful in the treatment of ptosis of the eyelid and rosacea. The usage/indication of Nasivion Baby Nasal Drops 10ml depends on the dosage form. For instance Nasivion Baby Nasal Drops 10ml nasal spray solution used for nasal congestion, Oxymetazoline cream is used to treat ongoing facial redness caused by rosacea (a skin disease that causes redness and pimples on the face).

Nasal congestion is the blockage of nasal passage due to stuffed-up nasal fluid in the nose. Ptosis is the abnormal drooping of the upper eyelid. Rosacea is a condition characterized by small, red-coloured, pus-filled bumps on the face.

Nasivion Baby Nasal Drops 10ml contains ‘oxymetazoline’ that belongs to the class of ‘alpha1A adrenoceptor agonists’. It narrowing the blood vessels and reduces blood flow to the swollen tissue in the nose, eyelid or skin. This effect helps in reducing the inflammation and alleviating the symptoms.

Nasivion Baby Nasal Drops 10ml is available in dosage forms: nasal spray, topical cream and eye drop. It should not be used for more than 7 days. Common side-effects of Nasivion Baby Nasal Drops 10ml are irritation or burning sensation at the site of application, blurred vision, eye pain, drowsiness, dizziness, headache and slow or fast heartbeat. If you notice that these side-effects do not disappear or worsen, consult your doctor immediately.

Do not take Nasivion Baby Nasal Drops 10ml if you are allergic to ‘oxymetazoline’ or any ingredients present in it. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have heart disease, brain problems, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, Sjogren's syndrome (an immune system disorder) or eye problems (glaucoma). Do not take this medicine if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (for depression) or have taken them in the last 14 days. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
